A quick and refreshing cherry frozen yogurt recipe made with Greek yogurt and fresh cherries. Simple, healthy, and full of natural sweetness—perfect for summer treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted

  • 1 1/2 cups Greek yogurt or plant-based yogurt

  • 23 tbsp honey or maple syrup (to taste)

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Optional: 1/4 tsp almond extract

Instructions

  • Place pitted cherries, yogurt, sweetener, lemon juice, and almond extract into a blender.

  • Blend until smooth and creamy.

  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer instructions.

  • If you don’t have an ice cream maker, transfer the mixture to a shallow container and freeze.

  • Stir every 30 minutes for 2–3 hours until desired consistency is reached.

  • Scoop and serve immediately or store in the freezer for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • Use black cherries for a deeper, richer flavor.

  • Add chocolate chips or crushed nuts for texture.

  • Substitute Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt for a dairy-free version.

  • Thaw slightly before scooping if fully frozen.
